Tests and exams are conducted at school to judge the improvement of a student. However, some feel the exams are useless or stress youngsters out, so they must be avoided, but I do not concur with this statement. The following paragraphs explain my viewpoint in detail.
The test system is an integral part of almost all the education systems in the world. Examinations at schools are required to estimate the growth of a child. What is taught at school must be listened to carefully and revised. Regular tests ensure that a student studies regularly. In the absence of test systems at school, a student may stop focusing on their studies. In fact, most students study diligently, for they fear flunking. Thus, examination procedures form the basis of the education system. Their importance can be understood by the fact that they have been around for ages.
Tests also help teachers access their teaching methodologies. Teaching processes and education systems must be accessed time-to-time and altered if some lapse or scope of improvement is observed. When students do not perform well in exams, it signifies that either the learners are not sincere or the quality or methods of teaching are not up to the mark. A deeper review of the processes can help the system to come up with better techniques and conducive ways for the students. There is no way that the righteousness of the education system can be maintained or ensured in the absence of regular exams.
To sum up, regularly testing students’ progress and knowledge ensure discipline and dedication in the lives of learners and trainers. In the absence of a test system, education procedures may lose their meaning. It is the reason every school and university in this world has been religiously conducting the necessary tests since ever.
