There have been many inventions in human histories, such as the wheel. Some people think the most important thing is the internet. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Man has invented a variety of things during the journey of human evolution so far. However, it is believed that the invention of the internet has been the most vital of all so far. I do not concur with this statement and take this as an opportunity to explain my point in the following paragraphs.

First, humans have created many things and concepts that altered the course of life by 360 degrees. A few examples are the creation of the wheel, the printing press and electricity, etc. All these things proved radically transform human existence when they came into inception. A wheel came into existence in the ancient era when the mere tasks of travelling and carrying the load to small distances were tedious. Similarly, the printing press helped humans keep a record of everything, especially vital information and made it possible for data to be passed to further generations. Furthermore, the discovery of electricity and related inventions helped people ease their workload and improve other aspects. Both personal lives and professional lives have been improved by electricity. Electricity alone increased the efficiency of every single activity humans did.

The internet has been comparatively a recent entry into our lives. It has changed how we would work, live life, and communicate. However, the internet was not invented out of thin air, and many previous inventions and discoveries opened the way for the internet.

Finally, I believe that though the internet has been a revolutionary change, many other inventions have massively impacted the course of life on earth. These inventions were revolutionary when they came into existence and paved a path for further discoveries in the future. Thus, it is unjustified to say that the internet is the most impactful.
