Next year, though, the number of people opting for cruise doubled, and the other group stayed steady. In the subsequent year, though the number of people putting up dropped considerably to touch the original value of 2010, the number of people preferring the island kept increasing for the next two years before it remained constant for 03 years till 2015 at a considerable number of 1.5 million. The popularity of cruises saw a surge/rise till 2017 and touched a value of 02 million. Somewhere between 2015 and 2016, the popularity of cruises overtook the island among tourists. Further, in 2017, the final number of visitors staying on the island was 1.5 million.

As far as the total number of visitors was concerned, the number increased constantly till 2015, when it stayed constant for one year only to surge further to a final value of 3.5 million.
