For some, there is no better source but newspapers to get news,
while others believe that other sources, such as television, radio, and the internet, are superior modes. This essay aims at discussing both sides of the argument before concluding.
Newspapers have been serving daily or weekly updates for many years. People wait to receive their copies every morning, for most of us could not imagine starting our days going through our favourite sections in our daily newspapers. A newspaper has been loved, for it has beautiful pictures, detailed reports, and editorials by experts and celebrated people. Newspaper cuts the noise, which is experienced when people receive the news on various electronic media. It has been a boon for readers, for it is serene for many to read the newspaper with their morning or evening tea. As a result, a newspaper is more of a habit than anything else.
On the other hand, with the advent of technology, many means, such as radio, TV, and the internet, have also become popular. The first and foremost benefit is that one can get updates as and when they happen in any part of the world, which a feature newspaper can not provide. One can watch the news on TV, enhancing the experience of receiving information. In addition, live telecasts on TV and the internet give information without an iota-second delay. Cybermedia, in particular, has made news broadcasts radically different and advanced if compared to the past, for one can watch or read news due to the portable nature of internet-enabled devices.
I believe the internet is the best pick, for one can have immediate updates and a visual experience par excellence. The advancement in artificial intelligence also enhances this experience. Thus, I think electronics, mainly cyber media, will replace the newspaper soon.
