An appealing and long-lasting piece of art requires distinctive capabilities. Although some feel that any human being can create attractive art, others think that only a few naturally gifted individuals can do it. This essay aims to discuss both sides of the argument before concluding.
Many believe that natural or born talents are highly overrated, and anyone who wishes to be an artist can be one. These people probably assume that art can be taught. There are many art schools and colleges in various parts of the world. These train students to produce a certain kind of art. A person may create well if he is sensitive to the atmosphere and takes clues from various events or things around him. There is no need for natural gifts in such cases.
On the other hand, others believe that creative talents are natural. That is why some people have some exceptional skills that others fail to possess even after much practice, training, or availability of facilities. For example, some people can incline towards creativity and exhibit exceptional artistic capabilities very early in life without any training or conductivity in their immediate atmosphere. These people are called child prodigies and are perceived to be blessed by mother nature. Further, I believe some profound events in one’s life unleash hidden creativity in some people.
I believe that anyone can create, but only a few have the kind of magic that can touch the hearts and souls of people and keep enchanting them for a long time in the future. This exceptionalism or outstanding creative abilities are a result of a natural blessing bestowed on a person by mother nature.
