Some feel that governments should prioritize healthcare instead of other important areas. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The health of its citizens is vital for a nation. Thus, it is often believed health care should be given precedence over every other aspect. I believe health is wealth, yet some other factors are equally important, so I can not concur with the given statement.

Good health and fitness are essential for a person, community and nation since healthy people do not burden their families and society and can contribute vigorously to their progress. No doubt, good health adds to the general happiness of a nation. Therefore, health must be prioritized by the governments.

However, health can not always be a top priority, for a government has to have distinct concerns depending on the situation during different times. For example, at a time in a nation, education or employability and employment may be a matter of the most importance. Furthermore, when a nation faces challenges due to poverty, the highest priority should be to devise strategies to overcome poverty. A country may have stress due to lawlessness or tension on borders. In this case, the highest priority should be the safety and security of citizens. Thus, it can be said that different situations call for different kinds of strategies and variety in the prioritization process.

In addition to the above, education, tourism, and maintenance of heritage should be made a priority from time to time. Finally, to become a happy and thriving nation, a government must work on multiple fronts, or else a nation can not prosper in the long run.
