Nowadays more and more women choose to work full-time. Is it a positive or negative development?

Women have always been associated with handling domestic responsibilities and their families. More and more women have started working today. It has been believed that this development has benefits and disadvantages alike. I intend to discuss both sides of the coin in the following paragraphs.

Women going out and working has numerous usefulnesses for themselves, their families and the society. First, a working woman can become financially independent, which gives her confidence. This factor has an immense cruciality since a working woman can support herself and her family during adverse circumstances. Also, a professional woman gains more awareness of the world around her, and thus there are more opportunities of gaining wisdom regarding many practical aspects of life. Not just this, a professional lady has a better chance of valuing herself. Probably these reasons are the basis of research suggesting that working women bring up more successful children.
Also, there can be an active participation of professional females in the socio-economic aspect of a nation. Since these women meet more people and have more exposure, their worldly vision and horizons get broader.

However, similar to any other development, this one can present some challenges periodically. First, married women, especially mothers, sometimes find it tough to manage their homes and career simultaneously. It may cause issues at home and work and mental stress for that lady. Situations can be handled if these females get support from their families. However, if a working lady does not obtain the requisite aid from her family members, there may be disturbances in her life, as well as her family life and career.

To sum up, there has been a hike in the female workforce. There have been significant advantages and a few disadvantages to this progress. I believe it has been a beneficial evolution and must continue hereafter.
