Nowadays, distance-learning programs have gained in popularity, but some people argue that online courses can never be taken as well as those taken at a college or university in person. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Reported on IELTS September 18th

Online learning has achieved a lot of acceptance among students and teachers. However, it is not the preferred mode yet for many, for they feel that offline learning is more effective. I agree with the statement.

Although online teaching has proved itself a substitute for offline, especially during the covid 19, it was established that it can be looked at as an option only when conducting offline classes is challenging or impossible, and there are some good reasons for people to think so.

First, online mode is not considered a natural mode of schooling by many because it limits interaction. Also, the teachers can not understand the body language of their students and sometimes cannot keep proper supervision of their work; consequently, they lose control. Sometimes, students get distracted by other apps on their systems or do not focus on studying for no apparent reason. It is hard to conduct exams since there are opportunities for students to cheat. It is just not how exams should be conducted. Despite taking all the possible precautions, it has been seen that teachers and educational institutes can not ensure that the examination was conducted without any miss, big or small.

Finally, although online teaching methods are becoming popular, they are handy when offline teaching is impossible or too costly. Still offline class is the preferred option if one is looking to be schooled, offline classes are the real classes.
