Multicultural societies, where people of different ethnic groups live together can bring more benefits than drawbacks to a society. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Societies that are constituted of mutiple ethnicities are more advantages than disadvantages. I agree with this statement. The following paragraphs will discuss the merits and demerits of such societies types before concluding.

When people come from varied backgrounds and races, they find it challenging to gel with one another. These issues could be due to differences in thoughts, and lifestyles and sometimes due to fanatic attitudes. Disturbances and threats to peace may be possible in such societies.

However, such societies give the most opportunities to expand one’s horizons and thought process. When people move past their differences and narrow mindsets, they can avail an opportunity for a natural learning process only when they are open to meeting people different from them. Progress becomes possible when we are ready to learn from others. The most developed nations have welcomed people from varied ethnicities and nationalities. Here the authorities value the skills and do not discriminate on racial basis. Consequently, they progress by taking advantage of the best skills available. This confluence of individuals brings so much more excitement and wisdom to everyone. Moreover, this way of living teaches vital virtues like humbleness, love, and acceptance for all. Thus, most nations encourage the mixing of ethnicities.

I believe people must be ready to break social, racial, and other imaginary barriers that exist today. If one mingles with others, that person, society, and humanity are benefitted. Also, rapid globalization has made it clear that this is the way of life hereafter, and it can not be avoided. Finally, accepting other ethnicities with an open heart is the right way to live; however, it is inevitable in the future.
