Many people today would argue that cinemas are becoming irrelevant due to new streaming services. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Reported on IELTS December 12th

Cinema has been a popular source of entertainment. However,
many think cinema may lose its relevance due to the rising popularity of various streaming services. I feel that fewer people will prefer the big screen in the future, yet some movies will continue to be more enjoyable in cinema halls. I will discuss my point of view in detail in the following paragraphs.

The pace at which the various streaming services have gained a massive following boosts the belief that they will earn much more viewership in the future. There are many reasons for the same. People can enjoy their movies and shows from across the world from the comfort of their homes in their night suits on their favourite couches without spending much money and extra time going to the cinema halls. It also gives the flexibility to watch the content when one wants: early morning or late at night. The large quantity, huge variety, and supreme quality of content streamed draw the audience to these platforms. These factors will play in favour of streaming services available today.

Yet, though cinema halls will not be as relevant as they are today, I acknowledge that people can enjoy some movies only on a big screen. It is impossible to replicate the sound systems and cinematic experience with a silver screen. Moreover, the atmosphere inside a cinema hall is unmatchable. Not just this, going to a cinema hall gives a chance for family outings.

Finally, streaming services will continue to enjoy widespread inclination due to the many blessings it brings, yet some will prefer cinema halls in a few cases.
