Luck plays an essential part in being successful/unsuccessful. Do you agree or disagree?

Whether fate has a part in someone’s success or not has been a matter of debate since ever. Consequently, some people believe there is a factor of unexplainable serendipity in how one accomplishes goals, while others assert that it is a myth and that presence and absence of fortune are a myth. I believe one advance in life due to one’s hard work, grit, perseverance, and knowledge through destiny does play its role.

First, one must put in hard work. In addition, most successful people are good at identifying opportunities and negotiating them to their benefit. In addition, one must show perseverance and grit if one wishes to accomplish something big. However, there is an unexplainable force or factor that helps us succeed or cause failures. This factor is called luck or fortune, and I believe it does impact the outcomes of our actions to a considerable extent.

We can not control every facet that decides our progress in life. These uncontrollable factors or circumstances may be attributed to one’s fate. For example, a child born into an affluent family gets the best education, health facilities, and a conducive atmosphere for growth. However, a child born to impoverished parents sometimes struggles for survival. Sometimes people give their best with honesty and sincerity, yet they fail to achieve anything substantial. Sometimes some last minutes mishaps deprive a person of the opportunities one deserves. Another example is that of extraordinarily talented women that are not permitted to chase their dreams due to the patriarchal system. Though one can try to overcome one’s adverse situation for some, this journey can be tedious. On the other hand, there are ample instances when a person got an unexpected windfall or opportunities without doing much hard work or effort. There is no explanation for a youtube channel having millions of subscribers while another one that can be considered better is struggling to exist.

To sum up, one’s efforts, skills, and wisdom help one’s advancement in life. However, a luck factor does play its part in deciding the consequences on the lives of all the people.
