It is a natural process that animal species become extinct, as the dinosaurs did in the past. There is no reason for people to prevent this from happening. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nature is dynamic, so it creates and destroys at the same time. Some new species come into being, while some others become extinct. Thus, some believe humans need not work on preventing further extinctions since it is a selection made by nature. Though I believe nature makes its selection, many species are becoming extinct due to human activities. So there must be efforts towards saving the species that could vanish due to human activities.

First, human actions, especially in the last 100 years, have harmed our environment. These actions have hurt many species of animals, birds, and plants either they have become endangered or extinct. These shiftings include deforestation, urbanization, and a rapid rise in the human population. With no limit to human greed, this tendency does not seem to end. It has been anticipated that with this pace of so-called human development, one can expect many more species to go. This development will impact the human population adversely, for our existence depends on other living beings.

Given the above arguments, it becomes vital to stop any more mindless progress that could harm living beings on this planet. Any changes occurring against our environment or natural heritage we have received, especially to living organisms, must be stopped. These actions are not against the earth but for it and the well-being of future generations of all living organisms.

To sum up, I believe humans must not interfere much with the processes of nature; however, there must be stern actions against any harmful actions against nature or any of its creations. In fact, it is time to act.
