Organizations in some nations permit their staff to work from their homes, while this arrangement is not allowed is not provided in some other places. I shall discuss the reasons for adopting different policies followed by my opinion regarding the subject.
Some companies allow people to work from due to some reasons. Generally, companies have to pay a massive amount for maintaining their offices by paying rent, electricity, and maintenance expenses. When employees work from their homes, not just expenditure can be saved, but employees also save time by cutting down on travel time. The employees can utilize this saved time and energy to improve their personal life official work. Employees can save their money too.
However, some organizations in some countries mandatorily expect their employees to attend office, for attending the office ensures discipline, efficiency, and focus on work. In addition, discussions and issue resolution can be accelerated. In addition, the employees can enjoy friendships and an active social life. On the other hand, when people work from home, they can become lethargic, and their life can become dull.
I believe working from home is a good option occasionally or in some exceptional cases, but work requires discipline, interactions, and focus, which is possible only in an office setup. People may behave sneakily or lose track when they continue to work from home for a long time. Thus, there is no replacement for an office atmosphere where people meet others and look for growth opportunities leading to a motivated staff. Finally, these options are preferred by different sets of people, yet more work should be done from offices.
