Historical objects should be brought back to their country of origin. To what extent do you agree or disagree?                    Reported on September 1st

Objects and antiques of historical importance should be brought back to the nation of their original nation. When attackers in the past would win a particular land, they would take away some beautiful artifacts with superior craftsmanship as a token of their victory. A similar attitude was showcased by the nations who went on to colonize other countries. I believe historical items must be brought back to their original country where they rightfully belong. I shall discuss my point of view in detail in the following paragraphs.

Firstly, it is morally correct to return the objects, especially precious items or those with much artistic or historical value from where they were taken away. There has been more peace and harmony amongst nations now, for the world has been realising the virtues of co-existing amicably with others. Returning the above-mentioned objects to their original countries with honor can strengthen friendships between various countries today, which will further lead to more peace in the world, something everyone hopes for.

Secondly, and most importantly, such items are of pride for a nation and offer knowledge of their past and culture. Therefore, countries invest funds and energy in preserving these items either in their museums or similar places. These must be available with the original country, for they might form a part of their glorious past or traditional roots. It is also vital for people to pass on information to their offspring, so that children may be introduced to their heritage, and a sense of appreciation for their lineage may be inculcated in them.

Finally, Historical objects must be brought back to their country of origin, for it is not just morally right but is practical for both parties. Many reasons to explain this thinking have been presented above.
